Goorin
In 1895, master craftsman Cassel Goorin sold his first hats off a horse cart in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Cassel Goorin worked to create distinctive hats for every customer. Adding the right feather, sewing the right lining, and often, changing the block pattern entirely. Cassel set out to make each hat one of a kind. Cassel's sons, the Goorin Brothers continued the tradition of hat making when they moved the family business to San Francisco in 1949.
Over a century later, Goorin Brothers is lead by Cassel's great grandson, who remains dedicated to the art of bold hat making by crafting hats inspired by San Francisco's rich artistic community. Goorin is determined to elegantly bring the hat back with vigor and purpose.
Cassel's legacy can be found in the detail and integrity of each hat, as well as the timely contributions of creative, unique individuals who collaborate with us to create new BOLD hats.
Like you, perhaps, a Goorin hat is full of contradictions: It is timeless and timely, grounded and groundbreaking. Rooted in tradition, yet calling for change.
Wear a Goorin hat and you can tell your story without ever having to say a word.
